AI alt text improves the accessibility and discoverability of your Loox widgets. It automatically adds meaningful image descriptions to help screen readers describe your visuals and strengthen your SEO.

Why use AI alt text?

AI alt text creates clear, accurate descriptions for every new image added through Loox. This helps:

• Make your store more accessible for shoppers who rely on screen readers

• Keep your store compliant with accessibility standards

• Improve your search visibility, since search engines use alt text to understand image content

How AI alt text works

Loox generates alt text automatically for every new review image. The alt text is added to your widget’s HTML so screen readers and search engines can understand the media

• What Loox analyzes - Loox scans the review’s photo and uses product details, review text, and your store’s language to create an accurate description with AI.

• When Loox creates alt text - Loox generates alt text in these cases:

  • A new review includes a photo

  • An existing review is updated with a new or replaced photo

  • A customer adds a photo through a reminder email
    
    

Note: AI alt text applies to any new photos uploaded by reviewers starting December 8, 2025.
 Video reviews don’t use AI alt text and will always show our regular alt text.

 A: No. AI alt text is generated automatically and isn’t editable.

Q: What happens if I change my plan?
 A: If you downgrade from the Convert plan, Loox switches to the fallback alt text for all relevant photos.

Q: What happens if a photo is removed from the review?
 A: If a photo is deleted, Loox removes its alt text.
