Why use review flagging?
Merchants often face compliance risks from inappropriate or non-compliant reviews, such as those containing personal information, offensive language, or content restricted by regional regulations. Managing this manually is time-consuming and risky.
Review flagging helps you:
Stay compliant with regional regulations and syndication partners.
Reduce manual effort in monitoring reviews.
Protect your store from displaying inappropriate or sensitive content.
How review flagging works
When enabled, Loox automatically scans incoming reviews with AI to detect possible violations.
Reviews that are flagged will:
Receive a Pending status, regardless of your publishing settings.
Be highlighted in your Review notification email.
Display a Flag tag and reason inside your Manage reviews page.
You can enable or disable this feature in Reviews → Preferences → General → Transparency - Review flagging.
Flagging applies only to new reviews. Existing reviews are not re-scanned when you enable or disable the feature.
If a reviewer edits their flagged review, it will automatically be re-scanned by the AI.
How to manage flagged reviews
Inside Manage reviews, flagged reviews will be marked with a tag showing the reason (e.g., Flagged – Personal Information).
You can:
Approve the review after checking it.
Remove the flag by clicking the x on the tag.
Manually flag a review using More actions → Flag review.

FAQs
Q: Will flagged reviews be published automatically?
A: No. Flagged reviews are always set to Pending until you manually approve them.
Q: Do flagged reviews affect rewards, discounts, or reminder emails?
A: Yes. Flagged reviews:
Do not trigger photo reminder emails.
Do not grant rewards or discounts through integrations..
Q: Can I still publish a flagged review?
A: Yes. You can manually approve and publish a flagged review if you decide it’s appropriate.
Q: What happens if I disable review flagging?
A: Future reviews will not be automatically flagged. Past reviews remain unchanged.
Q: Will customers know their review was flagged?
A: No. Customers are not notified if their review is flagged.
