How Reviewers join and submit reviews during active campaigns

Once your campaign is approved, it will be sent to eligible Reviewers who match your selected criteria. Here’s how they join your campaign and move through the flow - from order to review:


  1. Campaign is approved and sent out to our community - Your campaign goes live and is advertised to Reviewers who match your criteria (age, gender).
  2. Reviewers join - Eligible Reviewers join your campaign and get a unique 100% discount code covering the product and shipping (valid for one item only). If you set up screening questions, only Reviewers who submit qualifying answers for all of your questions will be able to join your campaign. 
  3. Order placement - Reviewers order directly from your product page using their automated discount code. You’ll see the order in Shopify as a regular order, so your usual notifications and workflows still apply.
  4. Review request sent - Once an order is placed, Reviewers receive an email from Reviewers.com with a link to leave their video review. Review request timing follows your existing Loox settings unless you set up custom review request timing for your campaign. Multiple review reminders are sent by Reviewers.com to reduce ghosting.
  5. Review collection & syncing
    Reviewers submit their honest video reviews. If you wrote a brief, they will see your requests during the review submission process. Additionally, our AI analyzes and approves reviews to ensure quality and meet our community standards. If the review does not pass our analysis, the Reviewer will receive feedback on how to improve it and will be prompted to resubmit. 



Managing your collected reviews

Once Reviewers submit their video reviews, they’re automatically synced to your Loox account and labeled with a “Submitted via Reviewers.com” badge. You can manage them on your Manage reviews page - publish, reply, feature, or use them for marketing, just like any other Loox review. Learn more about managing reviews.

  • You can automatically add a "Free product" badge to any review collected with Reviewers.com through your Loox Transparency settings, indicating the reviewer received a free product in exchange for their review, regardless of its rating or tone.

Reviewer statuses

  • Ordered - Reviewer joined the campaign and is awaiting their free product.

  • Reviewed - Reviewer submitted their video review.

  • Canceled - Order has been canceled or returned.


Important to know

  • Quality review check - All submitted videos pass through AI review analysis. Within our Reviewers.com community standards, we expect Reviewers to follow these guidelines:
    • Show the product clearly – Hold it up, demonstrate it, and make it the focus of the video
    • Use good lighting – Ensure both the product and the Reviewer are clearly visible
    • Speak clearly, in English – Use clear audio, avoid background noise, and make sure viewers can easily understand you
    • Be visible and engaging – Show your face or hands, and talk to the camera like you’re speaking to a friend
    • Share meaningful, honest feedback – Explain why you like or dislike the product, describe its features, and go beyond “good” or “bad”
  • Participation - Reviewers cannot join another campaign until they submit their video review for the current one.
  • Incentives - If you offer discounts for video reviews via Loox incentives, these will be applied to Reviewers, helping turn them into paying customers.
  • Ghosting expectations - Even with optimized flows, some Reviewers won’t complete their review after receiving the product. Expected ghosting rate: 10–30%.

FAQs

Q: What if a Reviewer doesn’t submit a review?
A:
 Reviewers won’t be able to join new campaigns until they submit their video review or you mark their order as “canceled/returned.”

Q: Can I control which Reviewers join my campaign?
A:
 Reviewers.com automatically matches your campaign to approved Reviewers who meet your campaign’s audience targeting criteria. You can also set up yes/no screening questions during the campaign creation process to narrow down the Reviewers who will be eligible for your campaign. 

Q: Will Reviewers get my Loox photo/video discounts?
A:
 Yes, if enabled in Loox. These incentives will also apply to Reviewers.com participants.

Q: Where will I see the collected reviews?
A:
 All reviews appear on your Manage reviews page and will be tagged as Reviewers.com reviews within your Loox admin.

Q: Do Reviewers need to share their Reviews on their social channels?
A:
 While many Reviewers do share their reviews on social, it is not required. 

Q: Are Reviewers.com reviews automatically published to my store?
A: Just like your Loox reviews, these reviews will follow your auto-publish settings. If published, they’ll appear in your Loox widgets alongside other reviews, with a "Free product" badge visible to shoppers. You can turn off the "Free product" badge in your transparency settings

Q: Can I use collected reviews in my marketing?
A: Yes, you have full rights to use Reviewers.com reviews just like your other Loox reviews.

Q: Will these reviews appear in Google Shopping?
A: Yes. Since they meet FTC guidelines, you can syndicate them to your Google Shopping listings via Loox.

Q: What if I send my review requests through Klaviyo?
A: Any Reviewers.com related emails (including reminders) will be sent through Reviewers.com directly, and not through your existing Klaviyo flows.
