Instead of collecting reviews from scratch for each store, you can duplicate your existing reviews and even set up automatic syncing so that new reviews flow between stores going forward.
Why share reviews between stores?
Many merchants run multiple Shopify stores to serve different markets. Your reviews are valuable social proof, and they're just as relevant on your UK store as they are on your US store. Sharing reviews between stores helps you build trust with shoppers across all your storefronts - without waiting to collect new reviews for each one.
For example, if your main store has hundreds of product reviews, you can duplicate those existing reviews to a new regional store and set up auto-syncing so that every future review appears on both stores automatically.
How it works
There are two ways to share reviews between your stores:
Duplicating reviews - A one-time transfer of your existing reviews from one store to another. This is a great starting point when you're setting up a new store or want to bring an existing store up to speed with your review content. This can be a one-way duplication from one store to another or a two-way duplication between multiple stores.
Auto-syncing reviews - An ongoing connection between stores that automatically copies new reviews as they come in. Once auto-sync is set up, every new verified review submitted on one store is shared with the linked stores - no manual work required. Auto-syncing only works on future reviews, not on reviews that were already submitted before the auto-sync rule was in place.
You can use one or both of these options depending on your needs. Most merchants duplicate their existing reviews and enable auto-sync to keep things up to date going forward.
Requirements
Before reviews can be shared between stores, make sure the following conditions are met:
- Loox must be installed on all stores involved.
- The products must have identical product handles across the stores. Reviews are matched to products by handle, so if a handle differs between stores, those reviews will not be shared.
- For auto-syncing, reviews must have been collected through the Loox review request email flow to qualify.
- For duplicating, reviews must have been collected through review request emails or imported into Loox.
Note: Shop app reviews are unique to each store and cannot be duplicated or synced between stores.
How to duplicate reviews between stores
Duplicating reviews copies your existing published reviews from one store to another. This is handled by our support team to make sure everything transfers correctly.
- Make sure your products have the same handles on both stores.
- You can check product handles in the Shopify admin of each store under Products.
- If a certain product handle exists on the source store but not on the destination store, those reviews will not be transferred to the destination store.

- The name or URL of the source store (the store you want to copy reviews from).
- The name or URL of the destination store (the store you want to copy reviews to).
- Whether you'd like to do a one-time duplication of existing reviews or an ongoing review sync of your future reviews- and if you want the duplication/sync to be one-way or two-way.
- Whether you'd like to duplicate all reviews or only photo and video reviews.
- Whether you'd like to duplicate reviews for all products or for a specific product.
- Our team will confirm the details and run the duplication for you.
Note: Only published reviews are included in the duplication. Reviews linked to inactive or archived products will not be transferred. If you notice any differences in review counts after duplication, this is typically because certain product handles or products don't exist on the destination store.
How to set up auto-sync between stores
Auto-syncing creates an ongoing connection between your stores. Once enabled, new verified reviews submitted on the source store are automatically copied to the linked stores.
- Contact our support team and let us know which stores you'd like to sync.
- Share the myshopify.com URLs for all stores involved.
- Let us know the sync direction - for example, whether Store A should sync reviews to Store B only, or if both stores should sync reviews to each other.
- Let us know if you want the sync to run based on product handles or SKUs.
- Once the sync is active, every new review collected through the review request email on the source store will automatically appear on the linked stores.

Q: Can I sync reviews between more than two stores?
A: Yes. You can set up sync connections between as many stores as you need. Each connection is configured individually, so you have full control over which stores share reviews and in which direction.
Q: Will my existing reviews be included when I set up auto-sync?
A: Auto-sync only applies to new reviews collected after the sync is enabled. To share your existing reviews, ask our team to run a one-time duplication first, then enable auto-sync for future reviews.
Q: What happens if I already duplicated reviews and then set up auto-sync? Will I get duplicate reviews?
A: No. Reviews that have already been shared between stores will not be duplicated again.
Q: Can I sync Shop app reviews between stores?
A: No. Shop app reviews are unique to each individual store and cannot be duplicated or synced.
Q: What types of reviews are included in a one-time duplication?
A: Only published reviews are duplicated. Pending or unpublished reviews are not included. You can also choose to duplicate only photo and video reviews if you prefer.
Q: What happens if I add a new product to my destination store after syncing is set up?
A: As long as the new product has the same handle (or SKU, depending on your sync method) as the corresponding product on the source store, future reviews for that product will be synced automatically.
Q: Can I stop auto-syncing between stores?
A: Yes. Contact our support team and we can stop the sync connection at any time. However, reviews that were already duplicated/synced will not be removed.
Q: If I publish or unpublish a review on one store, does it update on the synced store too?
A: Yes. Changes to a review's publish status are reflected across synced stores.
