Migrating to Loox: a step-by-step guide for growing brands

If you're moving to Loox from another platform, you're probably looking for more powerful visual social proof, better automation, and an easier setup. Good news: you've come to the right place!

This guide walks you through everything you need to make the switch smoothly and make the most of Loox from day one.

Step 1: Import your reviews 

Don’t leave your hard-earned reviews behind. Loox makes it easy to import your existing reviews, whether you're coming from another review app like Yotpo, Judge.me, Stamped or Okendo, or uploading a custom file with reviews from another source.

Once you select your review request timing during onboarding, Loox will start scheduling emails immediately to collect new reviews for you. If you want to customize your email templates to match your brand first, you can temporarily set your email timing to “Never” to pause emails until you’re ready.

To get your emails ready to go:

• Customize your email templates to match your brand - add branding and edit the content.

• Set up a discount for customers who leave a visual review and highlight it in the body of your review request email to incentivize participation.

• Select your email timing (e.g., 14 days after fulfillment or delivery) and watch your reviews pour in.

Step 3: Don’t miss out on reviews from past customers

If you didn’t already do so during your onboarding, schedule Bonus Emails to request reviews on orders made up to 90 days before installing Loox. 

Step 4: Exclude products or orders from review requests

Have a product like “shipping protection” that you don’t want to receive reviews for, or recurring orders that don’t need additional review requests? Learn more about how to use tags to exclude certain products, orders, or customers from receiving review requests.

Step 5: Test widget placement before going live

Add Loox widgets to boost trust on any page.

We recommend:

• Testing in a draft theme.

• Placing the Star Rating Widget under the price and the Product Reviews Widget under the product details on product pages.

• Placing the Snippets Widget above the ‘Add to Cart’ button on product pages.

• Using a Carousel Widget, the Video Slider Widget, or the Dynamic Carousel Widget on your homepage.

• Hiding the “Write a Review” button if you only allow verified reviews. Learn more here.

Step 6: Expand your reach

Your reviews are a powerful asset - don’t keep them to yourself! With Loox, you can showcase your social proof across the channels that matter most to your customers.

We recommend activating these integrations right after importing your reviews:

• Google Shopping
  Display reviews on your Google Shopping product listings by syncing with your Merchant Center Account. Read more.
